NameWiz 3.15
|
|
NameWiz is a fast and easy way to rename files en masse. Select any group of files in a folder and do what you want -- change the file extension, make all names lower/upper case, replace or delete characters, add prefixes and suffixes, or replace the names altogether with sequential names of your choosing. NameWiz is particularly useful for managing graphics files downloaded from the Internet or saved from your browser's cache. It can also be useful for programmers or for those who create sequential versions of text files, etc. Operation is simple: just select from a drop-down list or fill in some settings, click Preview to see the effect and click Apply to make the changes. You can also run NameWiz in multi-language interface, all menus, dialog texts and messages. Create your own language by editing the language file directly. The Windows system menu is available by right-clicking a file. Not only does NameWiz let you rename files, it helps you to move them around and to re-organize your folders. If you select the option "Copy/Move on apply", the pop-up window will allow you to create new folders, move renamed files out of the current folder into a new folder, or copy them into a new folder while leaving behind the unchanged or renamed files. If you are sequentially renaming files from multiple folders you can even gather them all together and move or copy them into one folder.
