If you get a lot of information from the Web, you probably know this situation too well - a big mess of various HTML, DOC, TXT and other files growing on your harddisk...
We have something to help you out - CoolSearch that helps you quickly find the files in your computer (or other computers in the network) containing the information you need.
Features:
- three search types - exact phrase match, matches on all words and matches on any word
- searching in any file that uses ASCII, ANSI or UNICODE encoding (for example HTM, HTML, DOC, RTF, TXT, XLS... etc.)
- NEAR function - the words must locate in the document in a certain maximum defined span (for example maximum of 30 chars between words)
- searching based on various file attributes
- all settings can be saved to user-defined tree for later use
- settings from the tree can be assigned to user-defined buttons on the toolbar
- settings may operate on sets of files instead of searching all specified directories (for example certain set of documents)
- running search can be paused and resumed later
- CoolSearch can hide in the tray and pop up when user-defined combination is pressed
