MailScan 4 for VPOP3 is the world's first "Real-Time" e-mail scanner for the VPOP3 Mail Server. This server is published by Paul Smith Computer Services (PSCS), UK. MailScan 4 for VPOP3 acts like a Content-Security and Anti-Virus Software for your Corporate VPOP3 Mail Server. It scans and cleans the e-mails that: A) Flow between all the local users. B) Are sent from your VPOP3 Mail Server to the Internet. C) Come into your VPOP3 Mail Server from the Internet (either via SMTP or POP3). MWL is analyzes the traffic that flows between WinRoute and the Internet or your applications. Besides providing Anti-Virus and Content-Scanning features, MailScan also has a Generic Attachment Analyzer, Automatic Compression/Decompression feature, a comprehensive notification Engine, etc. MailScan uses the eScan Content-Security and Anti-Virus solution to scan all e-mail attachments. Incoming and outgoing e-mails are scanned and cleaned and their contents checked before your e-mail server processes them. All MailScan processes are multi-threaded. This ensures that all e-mails are parallely processed. All types of attachments are handled by MailScan, including MIME and UUEncoded.
