Breakthrough Reloaded 1
|
|
The goal of the game is to remove all of the bricks by striking them with your ball.
Play begins with three balls, but extra balls are rewarded for reaching certain scores. There are 12 different levels of play. After completing all levels you start from the beginning, but with increased speed.
You control the paddle by moving the mouse to the left or the right. You can influence the balls direction and speed with the paddle. The faster you move the paddle when hitting the ball, the faster the ball is repelled.
There are two kinds of bricks:
- Grey bricks: Removed with one hit.
- Orange bricks: Hitting them once will change their color to grey. You have to hit them again to remove them.
During the first level you receive 50 points for every grey brick you remove. With every following level a brick's value increases by 5 points. Orange bricks will get you the double amount of points as they have to be hit twice to be removed.
You also receive bonus points depending on the time needed to complete a level.
During play you can catch 19 different specials which will change the features of either the paddle or the ball. Each one of them will be deactivated after 15 seconds. If you catch a special while another one is in use, the effects will be combined.
