This is a must have for all DVD-rippers out there. Compare it with DivX, only this one is not encoding in Mpeg4. RealMedia is doing the same job even better, keeping original frame size intakt. Two pass vbr encoders will re-encode your DVD(vob) rips, Mpeg1 and Apple movies to smooth running small RealMedia files that can be stored on standard CD-R's or DVD-R's. Quality/Size ratio is much better then DivX. Even your DV-camera footage or TV-broadcast recordings look great with this encoder. Imagin you have a TV(avi) recording in 576 x 432 frame size and two hours in length. Use motion-jpeg encoders for this. Re-encoded with 800 Kbps the end-result is stunning and it will fit on a single 700 Mbyte CD-R. Try that with DivX and you will be dissapointed. Encoding time is also faster comparing to DivX. This program is small and is looking great on your XP desktop. New transparancy look for windows.
